We sometimes talk about the Waldorf curriculum as providing learning from two great books. One is the Book of Nature and the other, the Book of Civilization. And as the years unfold, you will see these themes repeated over and over again, building steadily on each other to create not just a coherent journey of learning but a considered and intentional development of every child as a learner.
At the end of term 2 – a whirlwind of a term – we thought you might enjoy a slice of what thee big ideas look like in practice. For my money, Term 2 2021 has been a term in which we’ve taken further steady steps towards achieving the WST’s ( our proprietor’s) dream of as much of our curriculum as possible being delivered outside on the land gifted to us by our founders.
It’s also been a term in which we have made steady in-roads into the strategic vision laid down by our Board of Trustees in their2021 annual plan. Read on….
